The Expedition Inside Culture Association is a group of people who are aware of the challenges of the contemporary world and the role of education. Wanting to change the world, we take action to promote teaching and learning, the development of individuals and civil society, and the development of attitudes needed to live in a democracy and understand a multicultural world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What unites us is our belief in the power of education. We believe that it is one of humanity\u2019s greatest inventions. Like everything else, it can be used to achieve both good and bad ends. It can also vary in quality. Yet it remains a great promise and a source of hope. Education is what can change our future. The type and quality of education will determine whether we are able to address and face the challenges of today and global problems, or whether we will fail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We began working together in the late 1990s, when a group of people connected with education in Zabrze began organising educational projects in which we put the principles of expeditionary education into practice. In 2003, having already carried out several national and international initiatives, we decided to expand our activities and established the \u201cExpedition Inside Culture\u201d Association. Its aim is to enable citizens to participate actively in social, educational, political and all other forms of public activity in a spirit of openness and tolerance towards others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Together with everyone who wants to cooperate with us, we carry out civic initiatives, help people acquire knowledge and develop competences and attitudes, counteract discrimination based on gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion, background and other factors, and seek to influence formal and non-formal education in order to improve the quality of education and promote equal opportunities.
